Providing for fair treatment for all people through practices and policies designed to ensure that identity is not predictive of opportunities or workplace outcomes.

Foundational elements to our approach:

Our global DE&I Council is a diverse cross-representation of our businesses, functions and regions, who serve as activists to inform our DE&I strategy, help shape our policies and practices and engage in global and local efforts to help us achieve our goals.
Establishing an understanding of certain key concepts, such as unconscious bias, inclusive leadership and creating safe spaces as a core focus of development for all leaders.
Evaluating our practices and policies to ensure they are fair, equitable and meet the needs of our diverse workforce.

Charitable giving and local engagement:

Charitable giving and engaging with our communities through the Cabot Corporation Foundation, which supports over $1 million annually in altruistic donation towards global causes and local community engagement.
Locally engaging our employees worldwide to pursue common DE&I goals together, including what is most meaningful to them locally.
Cultivating and establishing Cabot Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to build community, raise awareness, support recruitment and development efforts as well as sponsor community outreach efforts.
